01Scope and purposes
This policy covers Cuvel Server, server.cuvel.net and inquiries to Takayoshi Iwasaki (the operator). Information received by the operator is used to provide the service, improve the website, answer inquiries, investigate problems, prevent abuse and meet legal requirements.
02Information handled on your PC
The application uses your selected folders, files, entry page, runtime and settings to start a local server. Language and project preferences, generated runtime configuration and server logs are stored on your PC. Logs may contain file paths, client IP addresses, request URLs and error details.
Cuvel Server itself has no feature that automatically uploads your project contents or server logs to the operator. Viewing a page on your PC or another network device sends the required files or processing results to that device. You control which files and devices are involved.
03Requests made by your projects
HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Node.js and other programs you run may connect to external APIs, databases or mail servers. The destinations and information sent depend on the program and your settings. Consult the policies of the project and destination administrators for these requests and their data practices.
04Update checks and distribution services
At startup, the application requests version.json from the official website to check for updates. The delivery server receives connection details such as your IP address, requested URL, time and HTTP request information, which may be recorded in access logs. Your project contents and server logs are not included in this update request. The application contains no analytics or advertising measurement system.
Opening the official website or Microsoft Store with the update button involves the policies of those services. Account information associated with Microsoft Store downloads and updates is handled under Microsoft’s policies.
05Website cookies and analytics
The website uses browser language preferences to choose a display language. Session cookies may be set. You can delete or restrict cookies in your browser. Hosting infrastructure may record IP addresses, visited URLs, times and browser information.
We use Google Analytics to understand website usage and improve the website. Cookies and similar technologies may send information about visited pages, referral sources, browsers and devices to Google. This measures use of the official website; it does not upload files or server logs from your local projects. The following resources explain Google’s data practices and the analytics opt-out option.
06Series promotions and external links
The Cuvel series banner images and text in the website edition are bundled with the application. Displaying them does not contact an external advertising or measurement service. The Store edition does not include these banners. If you follow a link, the destination website’s analytics and privacy policy apply.
07Support information and sharing
Email addresses, messages and attachments you provide are used to reply and investigate reported problems. Do not send passwords, private keys or files and logs containing unnecessary personal data.
Personal information received by the operator is not provided to third parties without consent except as permitted by law. External services may be used as needed for hosting and email support. Required measures under applicable law also apply when information is handled by overseas services.
08Storage, management and your rights
Information received by the operator is retained as needed for its purpose and legal requirements, then appropriately deleted. Access restrictions and other measures are applied according to the information involved.
You manage settings, logs and project files on your PC. Some settings and logs may remain after uninstalling the application; remove application data on your PC when needed. Uninstalling the application does not delete your original project files.
To request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal information held by the operator under applicable law, use the contact below. Identity verification may be required.
09Policy changes
Changes and the updated date will be posted on this page. Significant changes will be announced on the official website when needed. The English text is translated from Japanese; it does not limit your rights under applicable law.
